Geometric incandescence

Geometric incandescence

2021
Mixed media on canvas
100 X 100 cm

This painting stands like a symphony dominated by an intense red that floods the surface with its pulsating presence. It is a red that is not limited to being the background, but acts as the absolute protagonist, absorbing and reflecting the light in a play of nuances that oscillate between opulence and chromatic violence.
On this crimson tide, clear figures emerge like a respite, a pause in the intensity that seems to float, ethereal and almost translucent. Its ambiguous and suggestive forms invite interpretation, functioning as anchoring points in the midst of the emotional whirlwind of red. Around it, geometric lines in metallic tones—gold, silver and copper—add structure and tension. These defined and precise strokes shine like filaments of light trapped in the red, providing a balance between the organicity of the background and the rationality of the metal.
Almost imperceptibly, dark strokes also appear, subtle as shadows that cross the canvas. Their presence, although minimal, gives depth and complexity to the whole, suggesting a dialogue between light and darkness, between chromatic exuberance and formal restraint.
The work, in its bold use of color and in the interaction between organic and geometric forms, becomes a visceral exploration of emotional tension and visual balance. It is a painting that celebrates the intensity of red as a vital force and, at the same time, invites us to decipher the echoes of order and mystery that pulsate beneath its burning surface.
