This piece is presented as an exercise in balance between chaos and structure, where teal rectangles emerge as visual anchors within a vibrant and constantly changing chromatic field. These geometric figures, defined but open in their arrangement, establish a dialogue with the ambiguity of a central, shapeless form, whose presence seems to resist being contained by precise boundaries.
The main figure, an amalgam of dark tones such as black and grey, is mixed with softer, more organic nuances, such as fleshy red, which evokes an organic, living texture. This combination of colours and textures creates a tactile and intimate effect, as if the work itself were a pulsating organism in transformation. The encaustic technique, with its finish and material richness, adds depth and complexity, allowing the layers of pigment to breathe through the surface.
The background, dominated by shades of light green and yellow, is stripped of chromatic purity to become a space of transition, where colors mix and dilute, suggesting an emotional rather than physical landscape. The greenish blue stands out like a common thread, while the black strokes cross the canvas like energy marks, adding dynamism and tension. In contrast, the coral introduces a human, almost carnal element, which breaks the abstraction and suggests vulnerability. This warm and organic tone seems to emerge from the deepest layers, like a memory or a trace of corporeality trapped in the pictorial framework, all of this supported by the use of encaustic, which allows the texture and color to provoke a sensory experience, full of ambiguous and emotional landscapes.
