This title suggests movement, referring to the abstract figure of the fish and its movement in space, the journey as a continuous and fluid process.
This work presents a harmonious and multifaceted composition, where the serenity of the clear geometries blends with the organic fluidity of the central figure. The base of the work is made up of geometric shapes in soft and ethereal tones, predominantly in soft colors, which cover the canvas with a delicate light. This almost ethereal tone invites contemplation, serving as a background for the geometries that are distributed organically, without losing clarity and order, but with a vibration that denotes a natural balance between structure and fluidity.
The blue tones, in their various gradations, range from the clearest and most serene to the deepest, providing a rich visual variability that introduces a sense of depth and movement. Blue, as a reflection of calm and open space, is interspersed between the geometries in such a way that they seem to expand, as if breathing with the work, suggesting both serenity and a certain tension, like an ocean that extends under the control of a form. The contrast between the blues and the warm colors provokes a harmony that seems to navigate between the warm and the cold, the intimate and the vast.
At the heart of the work is the central figure, an abstract fish that, through brushstrokes and white tones, seems to emerge from the geometries, as an energetic but serene presence. Its shape, not entirely defined, unfolds with fluid and gestural strokes, inviting the viewer to see beyond the literal figure and experience the essence of movement, freedom and fluidity inherent in nature.
The use of encaustic, as an applied technique, adds a tactile and emotional dimension to the painting. Encaustic, an ancient technique using melted wax mixed with pigments, gives the figures a subtle relief and rich texture, inviting the visual exploration of volume and corporeality.
The geometries are kept in a serene balance, while the central figure, the fish, acts as the vital pulse of the work, a reminder of the organic connection that resides within the structure, and of art's ability to fuse the abstract with the natural.
